Konstantin Fyordov

Konstantin Fyordov (stage name of Konstantin Fedorov) was born in 1980 in Moscow. Interested in music from early childhood, he attended music schools and college where he mastered several musical instruments: domra, guitar, bass, and piano. He began playing in ensembles and orchestras from the age of eleven, with which he participated in tours and festivals in Germany and the USA. In parallel, he began organising informal musical groups with friends, experimenting with a mixture of different genres and directions.

In the early 2000s, he became the soloist of the instrumental group Bad bananas (Latin/jazz/fusion), and soon after joined the international projects Compatriotes and Sanza, which brought together musicians from around the world (Congo, Cape Verde, Ukraine, Russia, Latvia, etc.), performing and touring actively as well as working in the studio. While in Moscow Konstantin played as a guest musician and regular participant in many cult and underground bands including: Srednerusskaya Vozvyshennost’, VSE, Via Osobennost’, Kimbata, PBOYuL, Spam Orchestra, Die hard, Fractal Beards, Dream Tonic, Shaki shaki influence, Drip brothers and many others.

He worked as a studio musician on film soundtracks and advertising. He played in many international projects and musical collaborations and performed at numerous concerts and festivals as a member of various bands. He participated in studio recordings of Pussy Riot as a bass player. He relocated to Montenegro, where since 2014 he has been a permanent bass player and drummer of the historical orchestra Muzika Djenovići, which is over a century old. Konstantin often performs as a solo performer on the domra and tamburica. In 2019, he performed with a program of melodies from around the world re-arranged for tamburica on London’s Resonance FM radio station.

He has often contributed to the musical component of art exhibitions in Moscow and Montenegro. He is currently involved in an international project with musicians from France and Ukraine.
